A good selection of birthdays has been celebrated in the past few months, all of them in the wonderful town of Potters Bar. It just goes to show that you don't need to go all the way to London or even a club. It's far more important to get the right balance of people, pressies and dirty pints and let the stupidness flow.

First up was Neil's in November. This consisted of drinking all day long in the Bridge House, then moving on up to every pub in the High Street. My fondest memory was his birthday cake, which showed Neil pulling a muscle man pose in Clara's pyjamas (Amsterdam). Oh yeah, I hope no one's forgotten Neil chatting up some 14 year old chav girls outside Oakmere park!

Then we had Mr Kelly's, the format was almost identical to Neil's. May and Fam bought James a prim yellow dress which was tried on but many but didn't fit anyone quite as well as the birthday boy himself.

And Finally, Devon had his 21st birthday party last night. Thanks to all of the Sykes who threw a great bash. It was joyous occasion and much merriment was had by all. There is not much more I can add because I don't really remember. As you will see in some of the photos near the end, I was quite drunk. It is nights like these or more specifically the following days, that really do question my relationship with alcohol.
