Mr Bevil, the happy groom to be, experienced a stag weekend coordinated by semi-skilled Fam. Oh Bevil, you lucky man! The events took place last weekend in Canterbury and consisted of mostly paintballing and drinking. Unfortunately for me, I had to work so only managed to catch the tail end of the weekend but that was just enough time for me to absorb the Fam’s words of wisdom at his dinner table speech. This is a subject close to my heart as I will be conducting my own Best man’s speech in the not too distant future so I must say a huge thank you to Fam for allowing me to listen to a speech that George Bush himself would have been proud of.

The highlight for me has to be after leaving Aubrey’s nightclub, where Gomez decided he had had enough of wearing clothes and standing upright. This in itself is not an unusual event but was made more interesting by the fact it was absolutely pissing it down on a road that had bad drainage. But there was something else too. Some random, well groomed men seemed to take quite a curiosity in Gomez’s antics. This did not seem strange at the time as it was quite a sight to be seen, but the more astute members of the group commented that these clean cut men had with them some kind of poster. It appeared at first to look like a red cross, but on closer analysis of the photos seems to depict 4 penises at perpendicular angels to one another. What does this outlandish symbol mean? Why were these men with strong jaw lines so keen to retrieve their symbol when Gomez tried to steel it? Why did I see one of them asking Dr Ahearne for his phone number? (Only joking!) But perhaps most worryingly of all what will become of the photos of a semi naked Gomez writhing around on a wet floor, taken by these effeminate men? I would ask that anyone with access to “Male orientated�? publications keep a close eye out and share your findings!

Anyway, not to distract from the real purpose of the weekend which was to celebrate and congratulate Mr Bevil on his tying the knot with the lovely Sophie. Chilled OJ (whoever he is) took some photos of the weekend and put them on his site, mine are on page 2.
