Dr Stag

roys stag do and weddingWhat a week! It all started way back when Roy was single in the eyes of the law and I was just single. Dr Hamilton as he is officially known asked me to be best man at his wedding to Genevieve and I was honoured to accept. The stag do was first item on the to-do list and it was a tall order trying to organise a get-together with all the old boys from Uni. We were all pretty evenly spread across the country, no in fact the world and since our graduation nearly two years ago, had failed to successfully organise a single night out. Beev’s Stag

Tuesday, May 9th, 2006 at 6:31 pm

Mr Beevil in the pub saluting Mr Bevil, the happy groom to be, experienced a stag weekend coordinated by semi-skilled Fam. Oh Bevil, you lucky man! The events took place last weekend in Canterbury and consisted of mostly paintballing and drinking. Unfortunately for me, I had to work so only managed to catch the tail end of the weekend but that was just enough time for me to absorb the Fam’s words of wisdom at his dinner table speech. This is a subject close to my heart as I will be conducting my own Best man’s speech in the not too distant future so I must say a huge thank you to Fam for allowing me to listen to a speech that George Bush himself would have been proud of.

The Return

Sunday, March 26th, 2006 at 9:44 pm

who's the wanker with the pipe? This weekend a bunch of blokes and I traveled to the city of Leicester to celebrate Mr Kelly turning 24. This is where I spent 3 years of my life learning about life, computers and the Koran, so it was a little bit sentimental seeing the old place again. On the whole it was a huge success of a weekend! We went to Madferrit at the Leicester student Uni on Friday and then the De montfort student union on Saturday. Prior to going up, I got hold of a load of NUS cards off ebay which meant we were able to go to these places and I’m so glad I did because they were both great nights. Cheap booze and a super relaxed atmosphere, really allow you to let your hair down.

Paddy’s Day

Sunday, March 19th, 2006 at 2:05 pm

pint of the black stuffI had somehow managed to miss just about all the previous Patrick’s Day festivities for one English reason or another. But this year I decided to swallow my pride and douse myself with a bit of green. I think myself, Mr Kelly and Mr Gomez deserve a well earned Pat on the back for showing what we’re made of and staying out for the best part of 48 hours. That, I can assure equates to a lot of the black stuff. Unfortunately, my camera’s battery showed itself to not have the same staying power, hence the relatively low number of pictures. However, its all about the quality of which there is plenty!

Londonick

Sunday, March 5th, 2006 at 6:30 pm

To be honest I am still a bit shocked that it happened; Nick came out for his own birthday! And we all managed to get to London. I think Matt A being back for the weekend helped but it was good to finally celebrate Nick’s birthday, which was nearly three months ago. Read the rest of this entry »
