Birthdays

Sunday, April 3rd, 2005 at 10:10 pm

cakeA good selection of birthdays has been celebrated in the past few months, all of them in the wonderful town of Potters Bar. It just goes to show that you don't need to go all the way to London or even a club. It's far more important to get the right balance of people, pressies and dirty pints and let the stupidness flow.

First up was Neil's in November. This consisted of drinking all day long in the Bridge House, Read the rest of this entry »

The Great Debate

Thursday, March 17th, 2005 at 2:18 pm

It seems there are two types of person on this planet. Those who wipe their arse sitting down and those who stand. Up until a few months ago, I thought there was only one way to clean your posterior so it came as quite a surprise to me to learn there was such a strong following who disagreed with my choice. Over several deadlocked discussions in public houses and even the workplace, the most popular choice was not clear. Each side arguing the points for their case, and each side refusing to accept they were wrong.

Living in the democracy that we do, the only way to decide this argument was to put it to the popular vote. It became evident that a more statistically sound method than drunken pub banter was required. So, I took upon myself to create an online poll, to decide finally, which method was best. If this is a topic you feel strongly about please participate now, or view the latest results.

Update: the results are in and we have a winner. Read the rest of this entry »

Amsterdam

Friday, February 18th, 2005 at 2:17 pm

So here it is people, Amsterdam. I think this time I have truly outdone myself. I have uploaded in excess of 610 photos for you to trawl through. It was a mammoth task. In the beginning I was not sure I could even locate them and once I had, the actual procedure of transferring them was rather large. And not to mention the fact that my web site running costs are now like to increase by a factor of about ten! But despite all this, it had to be done. the boysYou see, every picture is equally important; each one tells its own tale. Every single digital still you are about to witness represented a carefree time in our lives, a utopian time when we were all invincible (except when Stacey threw a wobbly). The photos give us an opportunity to re-visit not just old friends, places but more importantly memories of feelings we seldom experience in the day-to-day. From the care-free folics at the airport to the friendly face of the Dutch cabbie, to the creature comforts of our hotel rooms to the warm smiles of the ladies of the night. Or who can remember the pain of watching England get knocked out of the Euro 2004 in an Irish bar, or the time when Neil dressed up in Clara's pyjamas, or the time when James left the land of the living, or the sheer pugnacious spirit of Neil; I could go on all day. I feel it is no over-exaggeration when I say that these photos are a holiday in themselves. The photos are divided into 6 roughly equal sections. Read the rest of this entry »

Yvonne’s Birthday

Tuesday, February 15th, 2005 at 8:24 pm

Bit more recent this one. Lots of pictures of stunning ladies for you to enjoy! Not sure I remember much more about this night that the pictures don’t already describe. I remember myself and Paolo talking with two girls at the bar who claimed to have done page 3 modelling, but I can’t for the life of me think why that sticks in my mind. New Years 2003

Sunday, February 13th, 2005 at 5:25 pm

Bit of a blast from the past this one. Green man on New Years Eve 2003, a fun time was had by all. Highlights as I remember were Clara wanting to stay in, because her skirt was too short, Gomez and Kelly winning the Read the rest of this entry »
